कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line

प्रदीपयन्‌ रथे तस्थौ त्रीललोकान्‌ स्वेन तेजसा । खड्ग, धनुष और बाण लेकर शोभा पाते हुए वरदायक महादेवजी अपने तेजसे तीनों लोकोंको प्रकाशित करते हुए रथपर स्थित हो गये

pradīpayan rathe tasthau trīl lokān svena tejasā | khaḍga-dhanuṣ-bāṇān gṛhītvā śobhām āpannaḥ varadāyakaḥ mahādevaḥ svena tejasā trīl lokān pradīpayan rathe tasthau ||

ビーシュマは語った。「恩寵を授けるマハーデーヴァは、剣・弓・矢を携え、戦車の上に立ち、その自らの光明によって三界を照らした。」この場面は、戦のただ中における神の主権を示す。力は放縦ではなく、規律と目的を備え、戦場にあっても守護し、また恩寵を与え得るのである。
