संयच्छामि हयानेष युध्यतो वै कपर्दिन: । पितामह बोले--देवताओ! तुमने जो कुछ कहा है, उसमें तनिक भी मिथ्या नहीं है। मैं युद्ध करते समय भगवान् शंकरके घोड़ोंको काबूमें रखूँगा
saṁyacchāmi hayān eṣa yudhyato vai kapardinaḥ |
ビーシュマは言った。「神々よ、汝らの言葉に偽りは微塵もない。戦のさなか、カパルディン（シヴァ）が戦う間、わたしがこの馬どもを抑え、制する。」
