तेडनुज्ञाता भगवता जम्मु: सर्वे यथागतम् । कृतकामा: प्रयत्नेन प्रजापतिमुखा: सुरा:,फिर भगवान्की आज्ञा लेकर अपने प्रयत्नसे पूर्णकाम हुए प्रजापति आदि सम्पूर्ण देवता जैसे आये थे, वैसे चले गये
te ’nujñātā bhagavatā jagmuḥ sarve yathāgatam | kṛtakāmāḥ prayatnena prajāpati-mukhāḥ surāḥ ||
主の許しを受けるや、プラジャーパティを長とするすべての神々は、来た道そのままに立ち去った。彼らは自らの真摯な努力によって目的を果たし、務めを終えると、しかるべき秩序のうちに退いた。
पितामह उवाच
Even exalted beings act within dharmic order: they seek proper authorization (anujñā) before departing, and they recognize completion of duty (kṛtakāma) as the right moment to withdraw. The verse also highlights the ethical value of sincere effort (prayatna) in accomplishing a legitimate purpose.
Bhīṣma (Pitamaha) states that, after obtaining the Lord’s permission, the assembled gods led by Prajāpati leave and return as they came, their objective having been achieved through their efforts.
