धृतराष्ट्रस्य मूर्च्छा स्त्रीणां च आर्तनादः

वीर्यवन्तः कृतास्त्राश्च द्रक्ष्यथाद्य परस्परम् “आप सभी योद्धाओंमेंसे प्रत्येक वीर रणभूमिमें सेनासहित पाण्डवोंको मार डालनेकी शक्ति रखता है। फिर जब आपलोग संगठित होकर युद्ध करें तो क्या नहीं कर सकते हैं? आप पराक्रमी और अस्त्रविद्याके विद्वान् हैं; अतः आज एक-दूसरेको अपना-अपना पुरुषार्थ दिखावें'
vīryavantaḥ kṛtāstrāś ca drakṣyathādya parasparam |
サञ्जयは言った。「今日、汝らは互いに面と向かって見るであろう—勇力に富み、武器の術を完全に修めた戦士たちを。汝らのうち一人ひとりが、自らの軍勢を率いればパーンダヴァを討つ力を持つ。ならば、規律ある一致のもとに戦うなら、成し得ぬことがあろうか。汝らは勇者にして武芸に通ずるゆえ、各々が今日、自らの武威を示せ。」
