अध्याय २९: कर्णस्य शल्यं प्रति शापस्मरणं च युद्धनिश्चयः | Chapter 29: Karṇa recalls curses to Śalya and declares resolve for battle
शितपरश्चधसासिपट्टिशै- रिषुभिरनेकविधैश्व सूदिता: । द्विरदरथहया महाहवे वरपुरुषै: पुरुषाश्न वाहनै:
śitaparaśca-dhasāsi-paṭṭiśair iṣubhir anekavidhaiś ca sūditāḥ | dvirada-ratha-hayā mahāhave vara-puruṣaiḥ puruṣāś ca vāhanaiḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。その大合戦において、最上の勇士たちは恐るべき殺戮をなした。鋭い斧、剣、槍（パッティシャ）、そしてさまざまな矢によって、象・戦車・馬・歩兵を、その乗り手もろとも斬り伏せたのである。
