Adhyāya 17 — गजयुद्ध-वृत्तान्तः, सहदेव-दुःशासन-संघर्षः, नकुल-कर्ण-समागमः

इतीव भूयश्न सुहृद्धिरीरिता निशम्य वाच: सुमनास्ततोअर्जुन: | यथानुरूपं प्रतिपूज्य तं जनं जगाम संशप्तकसंघहा पुन:
itīva bhūyaś ca suhṛdbhir īritā niśamya vācaḥ sumanās tato 'rjunaḥ | yathānurūpaṃ pratipūjya taṃ janaṃ jagāma saṃśaptaka-saṅgha-hā punaḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。善意の友らが重ねて口にしたその言葉を聞き、アルジュナの心は静まり澄みわたった。彼は時にふさわしく人々に礼を尽くして応え、そして再び出陣した――サンシャプタカの一団を討ち滅ぼす者として、もう一度。
