ततो भास्करवर्णाभमञ्जोगतिमयस्मयम् । ससर्ज तोमरं भीम: प्रत्यमित्राय यत्नवान्
tato bhāskaravarṇābham añjogatimaya-smayam | sasarja tomaraṃ bhīmaḥ pratyamitrāya yatnavān ||
サンジャヤは言った。ついでビーマは力の限りを尽くし、敵対する相手に向けて鉄のトーマラ（投げ槍）を投じた。太陽のごとく輝き、まっすぐに、迅速で寸分違わぬ勢いで飛んだ。この場面は、死を伴う対決のただ中で、決意と技が勝利のために動員されるという、戦場の苛烈な義務の掟を浮かび上がらせる。
