सुवर्णके समान जिनका रंग है, जो सुवर्णमय कवच धारण करते हैं, उन आप भक्तवत्सल भगवानको मेरा नित्य नमस्कार है। प्रभो! हमारा अभीष्ट वर सिद्ध हो ।। संजय उवाच एवं स्तुत्वा महादेवं वासुदेव: सहार्जुन: । प्रसादयामास भवं तदा ह्[स्त्रोपलब्धये,संजय कहते हैं--इस प्रकार महादेवजीकी स्तुति करके उस समय अर्जुनसहित भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णने पाशुपतास्त्रकी प्राप्तिके लिये भगवान्‌ शंकरको प्रसन्न किया

sañjaya uvāca | evaṃ stutvā mahādevaṃ vāsudevaḥ sahārjunaḥ | prasādayāmāsa bhavaṃ tadā hy astropalabdhaye ||

サञ्जयは言った。かくしてマハーデーヴァを讃え終えると、ヴァースデーヴァ(シュリー・クリシュナ)はアルジュナと共に、その時バヴァ(シヴァ)を歓ばせ、神授の武器を得んとして御心を求めた。この挿話は、力の追求を信愛と規律のうちに置く。戦の切迫の中にあっても、最高の手段は崇敬と自制、そして誇りや暴力ではなく、ふさわしき源より正しく力を乞うことである。
