ity ukto vāsudevena bībhatsur aparājitaḥ | ābabhāṣe tadā vidvān idaṃ vacanam arthavat ||
サンジャヤは言った。「このようにヴァースデーヴァに諭されて、ビービャツ—不敗にして識見ある戦士アルジュナは、その時、意味深い言葉を語った。」

The verse highlights disciplined response to guidance: when instructed by Kṛṣṇa, Arjuna answers with words that are 'arthavat'—measured, purposeful, and aligned with right action rather than mere emotion.
Sañjaya narrates that after Kṛṣṇa (Vāsudeva) speaks to him, Arjuna—described as unconquered and wise—begins his reply, setting up the next lines where Arjuna’s intention and resolve are expressed.
