बहुप्रकारा दृश्यन्ते सर्व एवाघशंसिन: । अपि स्वस्ति भवेद् राज्ञ: सामात्यस्य गुरोर्मम,“ये उत्पात अनेक प्रकारके दिखायी देते हैं और सब-के-सब भारी अमंगलकी सूचना दे रहे हैं। क्या मेरे पूज्य भ्राता राजा युधिष्ठिर अपने मन्त्रियोंसहित सकुशल होंगे?”
bahuprakārā dṛśyante sarva evāghaśaṃsinaḥ | api svasti bhaved rājñaḥ sāmātyasya guror mama ||
サञ्जयは言った。「さまざまな異兆が見える――その一つ一つが重大な凶事を告げている。王が、またその大臣たちが――我が敬う長兄ユディシュティラが――なお無事であろうか。」
संजय उवाच

Sañjaya reports that many inauspicious portents are appearing and worries whether the king—understood here as Yudhiṣṭhira—along with his ministers, is safe, conveying the atmosphere of dread and uncertainty during the Drona Parva battles.
