Arjuna’s Vow to Neutralize Jayadratha
iti śrīmahābhārate droṇaparvaṇi abhimanyuvadhaparvaṇi yudhiṣṭhirapralāpe ekapañcāśattamo 'dhyāyaḥ

Even in a dharma-driven war, the righteous are not numb to suffering: Yudhiṣṭhira’s lament underscores moral accountability, the human cost of strategy and duty, and the tension between kṣatriya obligation and compassion.
This is the chapter-ending colophon: it marks the close of the fifty-first chapter in Droṇa Parva, within the Abhimanyu-slaying section, identifying the theme as Yudhiṣṭhira’s lament and attributing the narration to Sañjaya.
