यथा<<सीच्च निवृत्तेषु पाण्डवेयेषु संजय । मम सैन्यावशेषस्य संनिपात: सुदारुण:,संजय! पाण्डव-सैनिकोंके पुनः युद्धभूमिमें लौट आनेपर मेरी शेष सेनाके साथ जिस प्रकार उनका अत्यन्त भयंकर संग्राम हुआ था, वह कहो
Dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca: yathā sīc ca nivṛtteṣu pāṇḍaveyeṣu sañjaya | mama sainyāvaśeṣasya sannipātaḥ sudāruṇaḥ, sañjaya ||
ドリタラーシュトラは言った。「サンジャヤよ、パーンドゥの子らが再び戦場へ戻ったとき、彼らと我が軍の残兵との間に、いかにしてこの上なく凄惨な激突が起こったのかを語れ。」
धृतराष्ट उवाच
