स एष रुद्रभक्तश्ष॒ केशवो रुद्रसम्भव: । कृष्ण एव हि यष्टव्यो यज्ैश्ञेव सनातन:,ये श्रीकृष्ण भगवान् शंकरके भक्त हैं और उन्हींसे प्रकट हुए हैं; अतः यज्ञोंद्वारा सनातनपुरुष श्रीकृष्णकी ही आराधना करनी चाहिये
sa eṣa rudrabhaktaḥ keśavo rudrasambhavaḥ | kṛṣṇa eva hi yaṣṭavyo yajñaiś caiva sanātanaḥ ||
ヴィヤーサは言った。「このケーシャヴァ(Keśava)はルドラ(Rudra)への篤き帰依者であり、またルドラの働きを通して顕現した者でもある。ゆえに、祭祀(yajña)をもって、とりわけ永遠のクリシュナ(Kṛṣṇa)ただ一柱を礼拝すべきである。これは、真の崇敬が宗派の分裂に迷うことなく、時を超える主を讃えるところに帰結することを示す。」
व्यास उवाच
The verse teaches that devotion need not be divisive: even while acknowledging Rudra’s greatness and Kṛṣṇa’s devotion to Rudra, the ultimate focus of worship is the eternal Lord Kṛṣṇa, especially through dharmic forms of worship such as yajña.
Vyāsa is making a doctrinal clarification within the larger war-epic context: he identifies Keśava (Kṛṣṇa) in relation to Rudra and then directs the listener toward proper worship, emphasizing Kṛṣṇa’s eternal status and the legitimacy of ritual devotion.
