Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 2: Karṇa’s lament, vow, and battle preparation after Bhīṣma’s fall
सम्पूज्यमान: कुरुभिर्महात्मा रथर्षभो देवगण्णर्यथेन्द्र: । ययौ तदायोधनमुग्रधन्वा यत्रावसानं भरतर्षभस्य
sampūjyamānaḥ kurubhir mahātmā ratharṣabho devagaṇair yathendraḥ | yayau tadā yodhanam ugradhanvā yatrāvasānaṃ bharatarṣabhasya ||
サンジャヤは言った。「諸クルに崇められること、神々の群れにおけるインドラのごとく。車戦の勇者の中で第一、剛毅なるカルナは、恐るべき弓手として、その戦場へ赴いた——そこは、バーラタ族の雄牛ビ―シュマが身を終えたまさにその地であった。」
