तिष्ठतो युगपालीषु शोणानप्यधितिष्ठत: । नापश्यदन्तरं द्रोणस्तदद्भुतमिवाभवत्‌

Transliteration

tiṣṭhato yugapālīṣu śoṇān apy adhitiṣṭhataḥ | nāpaśyad antaraṃ droṇas tad adbhutam ivābhavat ||

Translation

サञ्जयは言った。彼らが戦列にあってなお堅く踏みとどまり、血に染まる殺戮が四方に渦巻くさなかでさえ、ドローナは一つの隙も見いだせなかった。それはまことに驚異であった――規律と決意が、武芸の達人すら一時押しとどめた、稀有の瞬間である。
