tataḥ sa rathanīḍasthaṃ svarathasya ratheṣayā | agacchad asim udyamya śatacandraṃ ca bhānumat ||
サञ्जयは語った。ついに彼は、車の「巣座」に座すドローナへと迫った。自らの戦車の轅に沿って進み、剣を掲げ、百の月紋を帯びた光り輝く盾を携えて、攻撃を開始した。この場面は戦の容赦なき推進力を示す。武勇と戦術的接近が出会いを押し進め、法の戦場においてさえ、崇敬すべき師に刃を向けさせるのである。
संजय उवाच
Even in a dharma-war, action is driven by role-based duty (kṣatriya-dharma) and immediate necessity; the verse highlights how valor and tactical resolve operate within the moral tension of fighting revered figures like Droṇa.
A warrior closes in on Droṇa, who is positioned in the chariot-seat, approaching via the chariot’s pole and attacking with an upraised sword while carrying a shining shield decorated with a hundred moon-like emblems.
