हतानि च विकीर्णानि शरीराणि शरीरिणाम्‌ | माननीय नरेश! उस युद्धमें रथोंके समूह परस्पर सटे हुए ही दिखायी देते थे और देहधारियोंके शरीर मरकर बिखरे हुए थे

Transliteration

hatāni ca vikīrṇāni śarīrāṇi śarīriṇām |

Translation

ビーマセーナは言った。「身を受けた者たちの身体は討たれ、あたり一面に散り伏していた。」この一句は戦の陰惨な道徳的代償—命がただの無生の物質へと貶められること—を突きつけ、戦場において暴力という必然を通してダルマを遂げねばならぬとき、後に残る破滅を厳しく想起させる。
