तौ शरैश्छादयामास विराटद्रुपदावुभौ । क्षत्रियमर्दन द्रोणाचार्यने अपने बाणोंद्वारा उस बाणवर्षाको नष्ट करके विराट और द्रुपद दोनोंको ढक दिया

Transliteration

tau śaraiś chādayāmāsa virāṭa-drupadāv ubhau |

Translation

サञ्जयは語った。戦士を打ち砕くドローナは、自らの矢でその矢の雨を打ち返し、ついにはヴィラाटとドルパダの両王を濃密な飛箭の雹で覆い尽くして圧倒した。この光景は戦の無慈悲な勢いを示す。武芸の極致は名高き王でさえ瞬く間に凌駕し、武の冴えと戦争の悲惨な代償とのあいだに倫理の緊張を呼び起こすのである。
