Educational Q&A

The line underscores how, in war driven by anger and retaliation, even the young and well-born become vulnerable; it invites reflection on the ethical collapse that can accompany unchecked vengeance, despite the formal frame of kṣatriya duty.

Sañjaya reports that three grandsons of King Drupada are being struck with sharp arrows—an episode within the Drona Parva’s escalating slaughter, where prominent lineages suffer grievous losses.
