adṛśyata tadā tatra punar unmajjito 'nyataḥ |
サンジャヤは言った。「その時、それはそこでは姿を消した。やがて水中へと沈み、別の場所で再び現れ、また水面の上へと浮かび上がった――戦の混乱のただ中で、常の目を惑わす、不可思議で捉えがたい動きであった。」
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the limits of human perception in the midst of conflict: events can appear, vanish, and reappear unpredictably, reminding the listener that certainty and control are fragile in war and that one should not rely solely on what is immediately seen.
Sañjaya reports that something (implicitly an entity or phenomenon in the battlefield context) disappears at one spot and then resurfaces elsewhere, as if submerging and emerging like an object moving through water.
