इति श्रीमहाभारते द्रोणपर्वणि घटोत्कचवधपर्वणि रात्रियुद्धे कर्णघटोत्कचयुद्धि पडज्चसप्तत्यधिकशततमो< ध्याय:,इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत द्रोणपर्वके अन्तर्गत घटोत्कचवधपर्वमें रात्रियुद्धके प्रयंगगें कर्ण और घटोत्कचका युद्धविषयक एक सौ पचहत्तरवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

Transliteration

iti śrīmahābhārate droṇaparvaṇi ghaṭotkacavadhaparvaṇi rātriyuddhe karṇa-ghaṭotkacayuddhe pañcasaptatyadhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ |

Translation

サンジャヤは言った。「かくして『シュリー・マハーバーラタ』において、ドローナ・パルヴァのうち、ガトートカチャ討伐の小段、夜戦の記述にて、カルナとガトートカチャの戦いを説く第百七十五章は終わりを告げる。」倫理の面では、この奥書は、戦が夜戦へと沈鬱に激化し、常の抑制が弱まり、争いが決着—しばしば苛烈な結末—へと傾いてゆくことを示している。
