इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत द्रोणपर्वके अन्तर्गत घटोत्कचवधपर्वमें रात्रियुद्धके समय 'घटोत्कचको भगवान्का प्रोत्साहन देना' विषयक एक सौ तिहतत्तरवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
Iti prakāraṁ Śrīmahābhārate Droṇaparvake antargata Ghaṭotkacavadhaparvaṇi rātriyuddhasamaye “Ghaṭotkacaṁ bhagavatā protsāhana-dānam” viṣayaka ekaśata-trisaptatitamo ’dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ.
サञ्जयは語った。「かくして『聖マハーバーラタ』の『ドローナ・パルヴァ』、とりわけ『ガトートカチャ討伐章』において、夜戦のさなか、『主がガトートカチャを励ますこと』を主題とする第百七十三章はここに終わる。」この結語は、夜の戦いがもたらす混乱と倫理的逼迫のただ中で、神の鼓舞が勝敗を決する力として働くという、道義的に重い局面を示している。
