आददेअन्यद् धनु: शूरो वेगवत् सारवत्तरम् । तब क्षत्रियमर्दन शूरवीर द्रोणाचार्यने उस धनुषको भूमिपर रखकर दूसरा अत्यन्त प्रबल और वेगशाली धनुष हाथमें लिया
sañjaya uvāca | ādade 'nyad dhanuḥ śūro vegavat sāravattaram |
サンジャヤは言った。「その勇士は、より強く、より速く、戦にいっそう適した別の弓を取り上げた。先の武器を地に置き、さらに剛健で迅疾なる弓を手にして戦いを続けたのである。義とされる戦において、務めが定まり、勝負が容赦なきものへと転じたときに見られる、執拗な激化の相がそこにあった。」
