Droṇavadha-saṃniveśaḥ — The Convergence Toward Droṇa’s Fall
Book 7, Chapter 164
yāvanmātreṇa ca mayā sahāyena dhanañjayaḥ | bhīmaś ca rathaśārdūlo yudhyate kauravaiḥ saha
The verse highlights steadfastness in duty and loyal support in a righteous struggle: a warrior persists ‘as far as capacity allows,’ and companions sustain one another through disciplined effort rather than mere bravado.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Arjuna, aided by him (as charioteer/assistant), continues fighting, and Bhīma—praised as a supreme chariot-warrior—also fights on against the Kaurava forces.
