सैन्येन रजसा चैव समन्तादुत्थितेन ह । सारा जगत् अंधकारसे तथा सेनाद्वारा सब ओर उड़ायी हुई धूलसे आच्छादित होनेके कारण किसीको कुछ भी ज्ञात नहीं होता था
sainyena rajasā caiva samantād utthitena ha | sārā jagat andhakāras tathā senādvārā sarva or uḍāyī huī dhūlase ācchādita honeke kāraṇa kisīko kucha bhī jñāta nahīṃ hotā thā |
サンジャヤは言った。「軍勢が四方から巻き上げた塵のため、全景はまるで闇そのものとなった。兵らがかき立てた塵雲に覆われ、誰ひとり明確に見分けられなかった——味方か敵か、方角か陣形か。かくして戦の道義の秩序も、実際の戦列の秩序も、ともに混乱の中へ溶け去った。」
