चक्षुर्मनो भ्यां संतोष्या विप्रा: पूज्याश्न॒ शक्तित: । नचैषां विप्रियं कार्य ते हि वल्लेशिखोपमा:,“विनयपूर्ण दृष्टि और श्रद्धायुत्ह हृदयसे ब्राह्मणोंको संतुष्ट रखना, यथाशक्ति उनका आदर-सत्कार करते रहना। कभी उनका अप्रिय न करना; क्योंकि वे अग्निकी ज्वालाके समान तेजस्वी होते हैं!

Transliteration

cakṣurmanobhyāṁ santoṣyā viprāḥ pūjyāś ca yathāśakti | na caiṣāṁ vipriyaṁ kāryaṁ te hi vahnēḥ śikhopamāḥ ||

Translation

サञ्जयは言った。「恭敬の眼差しと信心の心をもって、ブラーフマナたちを満ち足らせ、力の及ぶ限り敬い奉れ。彼らの不興を買うことをするな。彼らは光り輝き、畏るべき者—まさに火の炎のごときゆえ。」
