दुर्योधन उवाच
Even in a war narrative, the text foregrounds moral psychology: remorse (anutāpa) signals the weight of one’s choices and the ethical consequences of sustaining adharma. The colophon’s emphasis on Duryodhana’s regret frames the episode as a lesson in accountability amid conflict.
This is a concluding colophon stating that the chapter has ended: within Droṇa Parva, in the Jayadratha-slaying section, the 150th chapter—whose subject is Duryodhana’s remorse—has been completed.
