प्रममाथ शिने: पौत्रं कर्ण: सायकवृष्टिभि: । अमृष्यमाणो निधनं कौरव्यजलसंधयो:,कर्णने भूरिश्रवा और जलसंधके वधको सहन न करनेके कारण अपने बाणोंकी वर्षासे शिनिपौत्र सात्यकिको मथ डाला
pramamātha śineḥ pautraṃ karṇaḥ sāyakavṛṣṭibhiḥ | amṛṣyamāṇo nidhanaṃ kauravyajalasandhayoḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。カルナは、ブーリシュラヴァスとクル族の戦士ジャラサンダが討たれたことに耐えられず、矢の豪雨をもってシニの孫サーティヤキを打ち伏せた。
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how, in war, personal grief and wounded pride can eclipse restraint, turning loss into immediate retaliation. It implicitly warns that anger born of bereavement intensifies violence and perpetuates cycles of retribution.
Sañjaya reports that Karṇa, provoked by the deaths of Bhūriśravas and the Kaurava Jalasaṃdha, unleashes a heavy barrage of arrows and overpowers Sātyaki, identified as the grandson of Śini.
