अलंबलवधः (Alaṃbala-vadhaḥ) / The Slaying of Alaṃbala and the Advance toward Karṇa
तदिदं वचन साधोराचार्यस्य महात्मन:
tad idaṃ vacanaṃ sādhv-ācāryasya mahātmanaḥ
サンジャヤは言った。「これこそ、あの高貴にして大いなる魂をもつ師の言葉——正法の導き手にふさわしい言葉であった。」
संजय उवाच
The verse foregrounds ethical authority: a teacher who is sādhū (noble, righteous) and mahātmā (great-souled) is presented as a trustworthy moral voice. The narrative framing invites the listener to weigh the coming words with seriousness because they arise from a respected preceptor.
Sañjaya, narrating events to Dhṛtarāṣṭra, introduces or points back to a specific statement made by the ācārya. It functions as a transition line, marking that what follows (or what has just been said) is the significant utterance of the revered teacher within the war narrative of Droṇa Parva.
