Illumination of the Army in Darkness and Dust
iti śrīmahābhārate droṇaparvaṇi jayadrathavadhaparvaṇi bhīmayuddhe ṣaṭtriṁśyadhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ

This line is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: its ‘teaching’ is structural and contextual. It signals closure and frames the episode within the Jayadratha-slaying arc of the war, reminding the reader that battlefield actions are part of a larger chain of vows, retaliation, and dharmic tension.
The text is concluding a chapter: it states that, in the Mahābhārata’s Droṇa Parva, within the Jayadratha-vadha section, the chapter dealing with Bhīma’s fighting has ended—identifying the chapter count as the 136th.
