サンジャヤは言った。「まことに幸いなことに、パールタはなお生きている。マツヤ国の都の近くで、牛を奪うため一斉に集まったクル族(カウラヴァ)すべてを打ち破った、あの英雄が。」

The verse highlights the moral contrast between unjust aggression (cattle-raiding) and righteous resistance. Sañjaya frames Arjuna’s continued life as ‘diṣṭyā’—a fortunate, providential good—suggesting that the survival of a dharmic protector is itself a blessing in a time when adharma-driven conflict consumes many.
Sañjaya recalls the earlier Gograha episode: the Kauravas gathered to seize Virāṭa’s cattle, but Arjuna (Pārtha), near the Matsya capital, defeated them. In the present war-report context, Sañjaya remarks that it is fortunate that the same Arjuna is still alive.
