Duryodhana–Karna Dialogue on Vyūha-bheda and Daiva
vimujcan viśikhāṁs tī kṣaṇenācāryaṁ bhṛśam ārdayat | mahāmegho yathā varṣaṁ vimuñcan gandhamādane ||
The verse highlights how, in war, skill and force can become overwhelming like a natural phenomenon, raising an ethical tension: even a revered teacher may be attacked when duty to one’s side and the momentum of battle override personal reverence.
Sañjaya describes a warrior (implied by context) rapidly releasing a dense volley of sharp arrows that severely troubles Droṇa, comparing the arrow-storm to a massive cloud raining heavily on the Gandhamādana mountain.
