Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 125: Duryodhana’s despair and vow after Jayadratha’s fall (जयद्रथवधे दुर्योधनविलापः)
तां तु शक्ति तदा घोरां तव पुत्रस्य सात्यकि:
tāṃ tu śaktiṃ tadā ghorāṃ tava putrasya sātyakiḥ
サンジャヤは言った。するとサーティヤキは、汝の子のものなる恐るべき槍の武器――シャクティ――に敢然と対峙した。戦場において殺戮の力と私怨とが交わる不吉の一瞬であり、激しさを増す暴力のただ中で、武人の決意と義務が試されるのであった。
