Droṇa’s Resolve to Restrain Yudhiṣṭhira and Arjuna’s Protective Vow
nākāro gūhituṁ śakyo bṛhaspati-samair api | tasmāt tava suto rājan prahṛṣṭo vākyam abravīt ||

A person’s inner state and intent tend to reveal themselves through outward demeanor and speech; even the wise cannot fully mask their ‘ākāra’ (bearing). Hence one should be cautious about prideful elation, especially in a moral crisis like war.
Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Duryodhana, visibly pleased and unable to hide his excitement, proceeds to speak—setting up the next lines of dialogue in the Drona Parva context.
