भूरिश्रवसः गर्हा, प्रायोपवेशः, सात्यकिकृतशिरच्छेदः

Bhūriśravas’s Censure, Prāyopaveśa, and Sātyaki’s Beheading

व्यसृजत्‌ तं॑ महाज्वालं संक्ुद्धमिव पन्नगम्‌ । अब सात्यकिने अपने धनुषपर सुवर्णमय पंखवाले अत्यन्त तेजस्वी बाणका संधान किया, जो क्रोधमें भरे हुए सर्पके समान प्रतीत होता था। उस बाणको उन्होंने कृतवर्मापर छोड़ दिया

sañjaya uvāca | vyasṛjat taṁ mahājvālaṁ saṁkruddham iva pannagam |

サンジャヤは言った。その矢は大いなる炎をまとって放たれ、怒りに燃える蛇のごとく見えた。サーティヤキは金の羽を備えた、ひときわ輝く矢を弓に番え、それをクリタヴァルマーへと放った――憤怒と武勇が戦士をいよいよ致命的な報復へ駆り立て、戦の道義の緊張をさらに高める一撃であった。
