Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 114 — Karṇa–Bhīmasena Missile Exchange, Disarmament, and Arjuna’s Intervention

अहं राज्ञ: करिष्यामि रक्षां पुरुषसत्तम | सात्यकिके ऐसा कहनेपर भीमसेनने उनसे कहा--'अच्छा भैया! तुम कार्यसिद्धिके लिये आगे बढ़ो। पुरुषप्रवर! मैं राजाकी रक्षा करूँगा” || ७३ $ ।। एवमुक्त: प्रत्युवाच भीमसेनं स माधव:

ahaṁ rājñaḥ kariṣyāmi rakṣāṁ puruṣasattama | sātyakike evaṁ kahane'pi bhīmasenena tebhyaḥ proktam— “accha bhaiyā! tvaṁ kāryasiddhaye agre vardhasva | puruṣapravara! ahaṁ rājānaṁ rakṣiṣyāmi” || 73 || evam uktaḥ pratyuvāca bhīmasenaṁ sa mādhavaḥ |

サンジャヤは言った。「おお、人のうち最上の者よ、我は王を守護しよう。」しかしサーティヤキがそう言っても、ビーマセーナは彼に答えた。「よい、兄よ。任務成就のため、汝は先陣を進め。おお、人のうち第一の者よ、我が王を守る。」このように告げられて、マーダヴァ(クリシュナ)はビーマセーナに答えた。
