न हि शैनेय दाशार्हा रणे रक्षन्ति जीवितम् । अयुद्धमनवस्थानं संग्रामे च पलायनम्
na hi śaineya dāśārhā raṇe rakṣanti jīvitam | ayuddham anavasthānaṃ saṃgrāme ca palāyanam
ユディシュティラは言った。「おお、シャイネーヤよ。ダーシャールハ族は、戦において武人にふさわしからぬ手段で命を守ろうとはしない。戦いを拒み、決意なく立ちすくみ、あるいは戦場から逃げ去ることなど、彼らの道ではない。」
