पृथिवीं चान्तरिक्षं च दिशश्वैव समावृणोत् । कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुनने देवदत्त नामक शंख बजाया और श्रीकृष्णने पांचजन्य। धनंजयके बजाये हुए देवदत्तका शब्द पृथ्वी, आकाश तथा सम्पूर्ण दिशाओंमें व्याप्त हो गया ।। १२ $ई || तथैव पाञ्चजन्योड5पि वासुदेवसमीरित:
pṛthivīṃ cāntarikṣaṃ ca diśaś caiva samāvṛṇot | tathaiva pāñcajanyo 'pi vāsudeva-samīritaḥ ||
サञ्जयは言った。「その音は大地と中空とあらゆる方角にまで行き渡った。同じく、ヴァースデーヴァ（クリシュナ）が吹き鳴らした法螺貝パーンチャジャニヤも轟き、四方を満たした。戦のダルマの気配の中で、これらの法螺の響きは、決意と正しき目的を公に宣言するものとなり、味方を鼓舞し、不義の者を動揺させた。」
