द्रोणेन केकय-चेदि-वीरवधः
Droṇa’s engagements with the Kekayas and Cedis
शस्त्राणि च विचित्राणि क्रुद्धास्तत्र व्यदर्शयन् । छादयन्त: शरै: पार्थ मेघा इव दिवाकरम्,जैसे बादल सूर्यको ढक लेते हैं, उसी प्रकार बाणोंद्वारा कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुनको आच्छादित करते हुए कुपित कौरव-सैनिक वहाँ विचित्र अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंका प्रदर्शन करने लगे
śastrāṇi ca vicitrāṇi kruddhās tatra vyadarśayan | chādayantaḥ śaraiḥ pārtha meghā iva divākaram ||
サञ्जयは言った。「その場で憤怒に燃えるカウラヴァの兵は、さまざまな武器・飛び道具を繰り広げた。彼らは矢の雨でパールタ（アルジュナ）を覆い隠し、雲が太陽を遮るがごとくにした。戦場の怒りは、ただ傷つけるのみならず、相手の威光を圧し沈め、曇らせようとするのである。」
