भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ९६: सौभद्रस्य आक्रमणम्, अलम्बुसस्य प्रतिविधानम्

सिंहनादेन महता नेमिघोषेण चैव ह । खुरशब्दनिपातैश्व कम्पयन्तो वसुन्धराम्,वे महान् सिंहनाद, रथके पहियोंकी घरघराहट और घोड़ोंकी टाप पड़नेसे होनेवाले महान् शब्दके द्वारा वसुधाको कम्पित कर रहे थे
siṃhanādena mahatā nemighoṣeṇa caiva ha | khuraśabdanipātaiś ca kampayanto vasundharām ||
サञ्जयは言った。大いなる獅子吼と、戦車の車輪の轟きと、馬蹄の打ち鳴らす響きとによって、彼らは大地そのものを震わせた—軍勢が戦へと押し寄せるとき、武威の奔流は畏怖を呼び起こした。
