इति श्रीमहाभारते भीष्मपर्वणि भीष्मवधपर्वणि भीष्मदुर्योधनसंवादे अशीतितमो<ध्याय:

Transliteration

iti śrīmahābhārate bhīṣmaparvaṇi bhīṣmavadhaparvaṇi bhīṣmaduryodhanasaṃvāde aśītitamo 'dhyāyaḥ

Translation

かくして『シュリー・マハーバーラタ』のうち、「ビーシュマ・パルヴァ」において、ビーシュマの倒れる段に属し、ビーシュマとドゥルヨーダナの対話の中で、第八十章はここに終わる。この結語は、戦禍のただ中で交わされる道義の重い応酬として本篇を位置づけ、忠誠、義務（ダルマ）、そして頑迷の報いが、迫り来るビーシュマの没落へと収斂してゆくことを示している。
