आत्मदोष-उपदेशः तथा भीम-धृष्टद्युम्नयोः संयोगः

जनेश्वर! कुछ लोग पृथ्वीपर गिरे हुए थे, कुछ गिराये जा रहे थे और कितने ही गिरकर छटपटा रहे थे। इस प्रकार यत्र-तत्र भयंकर युद्ध चल रहा था ।। विरथा रथिनश्षात्र निस्त्रिंशवरधारिण: । अन्योन्यमभिधावन्त: परस्परवधैषिण:,कितने ही रथी रथहीन होकर हाथमें सुदृढ़ तलवार लिये एक-दूसरेको मार डालनेकी इच्छासे परस्पर टूट पड़ते थे
virathā rathinaś cātra nistriṁśa-varadhāriṇaḥ | anyonyam abhidhāvantaḥ paraspara-vadhaiṣiṇaḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。「そこでは、多くの戦車武者が戦車を失い、堅固な剣を手にして互いに突進し、誰もが相手の死を求めていた。その混乱のただ中で、人は倒れ、打ち倒され、倒れたのちも身をよじって苦しんだ——かくして恐るべき戦は方々に散って燃え上がり、相互の憤怒と殺意に駆り立てられていた。」
