Transliteration

tān vājipāda-tarathaugha-jālair aneka-sāhasra-śatair dadarśa kirīṭinaṃ samparivāryamāṇaṃ śiner naptā vāraṇa-yūthapaiś ca

Translation

サञ्जयは語った。ついに彼は、クリシュナの孫—冠を戴く戦士アルジュナ—が、数百数千に及ぶ騎兵・戦車・象軍の将たちの巨大な網により、四方から取り囲まれているのを見た。この場面は、戦の道義的嵐の中では、第一の英雄でさえ圧倒的な力と敵軍の集団的重圧によって試されることを示している。
