サンジャヤは言った。怒りに燃えるパーンドゥの子ビーマセーナは、まるで笑うかのように、屈しないドゥルヨーダナの胸を一本の矢で射抜いた。

The verse highlights the power of krodha (anger) to drive swift, forceful action in war, while also hinting at the ethical tension of the Mahābhārata: even justified combat under kṣatriya-dharma carries a heavy moral atmosphere, where outward bravado ("as if laughing") contrasts with the seriousness of harming kin.
Sañjaya reports that Bhīma, furious, shoots Duryodhana with an arrow that pierces his chest/heart-region, describing Bhīma’s demeanor as though he were laughing—an image of battlefield confidence and intimidation.
