शल्य उवाच
The verse emphasizes steadfastness to one’s pledged word and the kṣatriya ethic of entering battle without fear when duty calls, supported by assurances of loyalty and fulfillment of a rightful aim.
Śalya addresses a son of Kuntī, assuring him that his intended objective will be achieved and urging him to fight confidently, while Śalya himself vows to stand by and honor the other’s stated commitment.
