Chapter 47: Krauñca-vyūha Deployment and Conch-Signals
Kaurava–Pāṇḍava Readiness
यतो धर्मस्तत: कृष्णो यतः कृष्णस्ततो जय: । युद्धयस्व गच्छ कौन्तेय पृच्छ मां कि ब्रवीमि ते
yato dharmas tataḥ kṛṣṇo yataḥ kṛṣṇas tato jayaḥ | yudhyasva gaccha kaunteya pṛccha māṃ kiṃ bravīmi te ||
法(ダルマ)の立つところにクリシュナあり、クリシュナの立つところに勝利あり。ゆえに、クンティの子よ、進み出て戦え。なお問いたいなら問うがよい――私が汝にさらに何を語れようか。
द्रोण उवाच
Victory is aligned with dharma, and dharma is inseparable from Kṛṣṇa’s presence; therefore one should act according to righteous duty without hesitation, trusting that ethical alignment brings true success.
Droṇa addresses Kaunteya (Arjuna), urging him to proceed to battle. He frames the coming action as a dharmic necessity and reassures him that where Kṛṣṇa stands, victory follows, then invites further questions.
