Educational Q&A

Even in conflict, dharma is upheld through humility and reverence: Yudhiṣṭhira receives Bhīṣma’s instruction with bowed head, showing that ethical conduct includes honoring rightful counsel and elders, not merely pursuing victory.

Sañjaya reports that Yudhiṣṭhira accepts Bhīṣma’s words respectfully, bows again, and then moves on—signaling a transition from receiving guidance to acting upon it within the unfolding war situation.
