अक्षरब्रह्मयोग (Akṣara-Brahma-Yoga) — Knowledge of the Imperishable, Prakṛti, and Devotion

यत्‌ सांख्यै: प्राप्पते स्थानं तद्‌ योगैरपि गम्यते । एक॑ सांख्यं च योगं च य: पश्यति स पश्यति

yat sāṅkhyaiḥ prāpyate sthānaṃ tad yogair api gamyate | ekaṃ sāṅkhyaṃ ca yogaṃ ca yaḥ paśyati sa paśyati ||

サーンキヤの行者が到達する至高の境地は、ヨーガの実践者もまた到達する。ゆえに、サーンキヤとヨーガとを、その究極の果において一つと見る者こそ、真に見る者である。

Both the path of discriminative knowledge (Sāṅkhya/jñāna) and the path of disciplined action (Yoga/karma-yoga) lead to the same highest attainment; true insight is to see their essential unity in purpose and result.

In the Kurukṣetra dialogue, Arjuna is clarifying the relationship between renunciation/knowledge and action. This verse frames the issue by asserting that the ultimate goal is not divided by method: whether one emphasizes insight or selfless action, the destination is the same.
