पादातास्त्वग्रतो5गच्छन्नसिशक्त्यूष्टिपाणय: । अनेकशतसाहस््रा भीमसेनस्य रक्षिण:,भीमसेनकी रक्षाके लिये उनके आगे-आगे हाथोंमें खड़ग, शक्ति तथा ऋष्टि लिये कई लाख पैदल सैनिक चल रहे थे

Transliteration

pādātās tv agrato ’gacchann asi-śakty-ṛṣṭi-pāṇayaḥ | aneka-śata-sahasrā bhīmasenasya rakṣiṇaḥ ||

Translation

サンジャヤは言った。ビーマセーナの前方には、剣・槍・長柄の刺突武器を手にした歩兵が、幾百千という途方もない数で進み、彼が戦場へ踏み入るその歩みを護る（rakṣā）任を帯びていた。この光景は、ビーマに託された比類なき軍事的重みと、戦禍のただ中で部下たちが負う護衛の務めを際立たせている。
