क्षत्रं चान्ये5भ्यनिन्दन्त भीष्म चान्ये3भ्यपूजयन्‌ । ऋषय: पितरश्रैव प्रशशंसुर्महाव्रतम्‌

Transliteration

kṣatraṃ cānye ’bhyanindanta bhīṣmaṃ cānye ’bhyapūjayan | ṛṣayaḥ pitarāś caiva praśaśaṃsur mahāvratam ||

Translation

サञ्जयは言った。ある者は武人の法を非難し、またある者はビーシュマを敬って讃えた。仙人たちと祖霊の父祖（ピトリ）もまた、大誓願を守るビーシュマを等しく称揚し—戦の道義が乱れるただ中にあっても、生涯の修持の堅固さを讃えた。
